No man is an island

I was so fed up with trying to just compile Ogre by myself on win2k and os x that i finally decided to use that empty partition residing on my main box to install gentoo on it. And guess what… It worked flawlessly on first try. I wonder why windows and os x makes me jump through so many hoops and loops. Granted it’s a little different on os x since the migration to intel is not yet finished and makes a few things quite difficult or impossible (at least to me and my available time).

Interestingly the ogre demos ran extremely fast on the 7950gx2. I think i will need to do some benchmarks on all those systems (yes, i certainly have ogre 1.2.x installed but i didn’t compile it by myself on windows and only half of it on os x).

Well i should have known before but gentoo saves the day once more. hurraaay!
